Images to PDF

Combine photos, scans or screenshots in JPG or PNG format into one PDF – handy for receipts, handwritten notes or documents you photographed with your phone.

LocalFile does not upload your images – they are processed in your browser.

How it works

  1. Choose images

Select or drop JPG and PNG files. On a smartphone you can pick directly from your photo library.

  2. Arrange and configure

Change the order, remove single images and set page size, orientation and margin.

  3. Create PDF

Each image becomes one page. Download the finished PDF right away.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose image quality?

JPG images are placed into the PDF unchanged, without recompression. PNG images are embedded losslessly. The PDF is therefore roughly as large as the images combined.

Why are my phone photos not upside down?

Smartphones often store the rotation only as extra information (EXIF). LocalFile reads it and orients the image on the PDF page accordingly, without re-encoding it.

Which formats are supported?

JPG/JPEG and PNG. Whether a file really is such an image is checked by its content, not just its extension. iOS usually converts HEIC photos to JPG automatically when you select them.

What does “original size” mean?

The page takes the proportions and size of the image (at 96 dpi) instead of fitting it onto A4. This works well for screenshots or graphics.
